Come see what Crossroads is all about
Parents and school districts throughout northern New Jersey trust us to provide effective caring services to students whose needs cannot be met within the regular classroom setting.
Referrals are made by your child's CST Case Manager through the following process:
-Your case manager meets with you to present several private schools they believe may be appropriate for your child.
-With your written permission. the case manager will call and/or send paperwork to our Director, Tara Mcalister, for review. Typically, this includes the IEP and all of the most recent assessments of your child.
-The director and other key staff members will review the assessments and IEP to determine whether or not we are equipped to meet the student's academic and social/emotional needs and whether there is a current suitable classroom opening.
-If so, the director will contact your Case Manager to set up a guided tour for you , your child and themselves. At that time, you will be able to see the school in action and meet our students and staff members. This way you will be able to get a feel for our school and have all of your questions answered.
-Finally, if we are all in agreement that Crossroads Academy is an appropriate place for you child, we will schedule a solo visit for the student. During this visit they will have the opportunity to experience life at Crossroads first-hand, travel with their proposed classmates, and become part of the decision-making process.
Speak with your child's Child Study Team Case Manager about scheduling a tour.
